11:00 am until 2:00pm
Penny Reining's arena
Beaver Run Road
Lake Ariel, PA
Thanks to Penny for holding a free clinic on "Joining Up With Your
Horse".
The reason for Joining Up is to create a bond with your horse which may be the most important
part of training and showmanship. Gaining trust in your horse means he won't fight you, if he does not fight you he
will be easier to train and work with therefore making him a better horse. Or maybe you just want to be closer
with your horse. Joining Up may be able to help you calm your friend and make life easier. (as well as less painful
and less frustrating!).

July 2010 Meeting
Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Noon
at Carol Smith’s home
East Stroudsburg, PA 18013
The July meeting
will be held at Carol Smith's home. Carol is preparing her grandmother’s "Sticky Chicken" (fried chicken that
is then steamed) and will provide Sun-tea, but the rest is potluck. Please let her know what you plan to bring. She doesn’t
have email, so please call.
DIRECTIONS: Get to I-80,
route 299, Rt.715. Turn RIGHT (no matter if coming from I-80 W or E). At Route 611, 2nd stoplight, turn RIGHT. At the 3rd
stoplight, turn LEFT at Cherry Lane (Smuggler’s Cove is on your right and Tannersville Inn is on your left). Immediately
after you make the turn is a 4-way stop sign—proceed straight. Proceed about 1 mile and at the first right, turn RIGHT
(Laurel Lake Road). Go over a little bridge and halfway around the bend, turn LEFT on the next road (Cranberry Road). Go about
1/2 mile on this road. When you see the Woodlands development sign, turn LEFT into Carol’s driveway (her house is yellow
with a green metal roof and a wooden fence).
Parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged. Call Carol for parking
suggestions. Enter via back door at deck. She has cats and dogs inside, and chickens and rabbits (and horses of course!) so
if allergic, be aware!
